Elfrida Gubbini
Nasce a Wetzikon, Svizzera, il 21 febbraio 1961.
Si interessa alla pittura sin da giovane. Dopo la maturità artistica partecipa ad Estemporanee , Rassegne e Mostre d’arte, si occupa dell’ allestimento di vetrine artistiche vincendo numerosi concorsi a livello nazionale. Frequenta la Facoltà di Pittura dell’ Accademia di Belle Arti di Perugia, diretta da Bruno Corà e Nuvolo, diplomandosi nel 1992. Dal 1989 al 1995 lavora come assistente di studio presso noti artisti, occupandosi anche dell’ archivio storico – fotografico di Piero Dorazio. Dal 1996 insegna presso gli Istituti d’Arte tessitura e storia del costume, svolgendo contemporaneamente a questo un’intensa attività artistica ed espositiva. I suoi quadri passano dai paesaggi umbri segnati da profonde e lunghe incisioni colorate, alle nature morte intessute da fili d’oro, argento e rame, fino alle tavole materiche quasi monocromatiche, dalle quali corde, rami e crepe emergono e s’interrano in un gioco raffinato…
Vive e lavora a Spello, Perugia.

Born in Wetzikon, Switzerland, on February 21, 1961.
She has been interested in painting since her youth. After her artistic maturity
participates in Extemporaneous, Festivals and Art Exhibitions, is involved in the ‘setting up of artistic showcases winning numerous competitions at the national level. She attended the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Perugia, directed by Bruno Corà and Nuvolo, graduating in 1992. From 1989 to 1995 she worked as a studio assistant with well-known artists, also taking care of the historical-photographic archive of Piero Dorazio. Since 1996 she has been teaching at the Institutes of Art weaving and history of costume, carrying out at the same time an intense artistic and exhibition activity. Her paintings move from Umbrian landscapes marked by deep, long etchings colored, to still lifes woven from threads of gold, silver and copper, to almost monochromatic textural plates, from which ropes, branches and cracks emerge and bury themselves in a refined play…
